Sabai Cottage

The barn or Sabai was formerly in the original structure of the Astei farmhouse the place where the dry grass was kept to feed the animals, according to the typical Basque rural way of life of yesteryear, dedicated mainly to agriculture and livestock.

The Sabai today has been carefully restored with fir wood to become a diaphanous space of 95 square meters that integrates a kitchen, living room with fireplace and a double bed flanked by two old sewing boxes on which hangs an antique bronze lamp.

From the sofa, we invite you to enjoy the sound of the rain pattering on the roof in the shelter of the fireplace, the leisurely reading and the antiques that decorate Sabai, such as the large antique chestnut closet, typical of Basque farmhouses.

Adjacent to the main space, Sabai has a bedroom decorated with chestnut wood furniture, with a double bed and a full bathroom, which makes this house the ideal place for families with children.
